The classic. Yellow butterfly kernels pop into big, irregular flakes with plenty of wings to catch butter and salt — the popcorn you remember from the movies, before it came in a microwave bag. Non-GMO, sold in 50-pound bulk bags.
Popcorn comes in two shapes. Butterfly (or snowflake) kernels burst into big winged flakes — light, tender, and full of nooks that hold butter and salt. That is the popcorn most people picture, and the one we sell the most of.
These kernels are Non-GMO and stored properly to keep their moisture, which is the real secret to a good pop. Dried-out corn is what leaves a cup of old maids at the bottom of the pot.
Fifty pounds sounds like a lot until you realize how far a pound goes — this is the bag for a family that does movie night right, or a church group that does fundraisers.
Yellow butterfly (snowflake) popping corn, Non-GMO.
Roughly 1 cup kernels to 30+ cups popped, given fresh corn and a hot pot.
Keep airtight at room temperature. Do not refrigerate — drying the kernels hurts the pop.
50 lb food-grade bag. Counter repacks available — just ask.
Stovetop, the right way: Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a heavy pot over medium-high with 3 test kernels and the lid on. When they pop, add 1/2 cup corn in a single layer, cover, and shake gently. When popping slows to a few seconds between pops, pull it off the heat.
Salt with our fine grey sea salt while it is still steaming so it sticks. For caramel corn, our unrefined cane sugar makes a deeper, less cloying coating than white sugar.

Best popcorn I've had at home. Big fluffy flakes and barely any unpopped kernels. The 50 lb bag is a steal. — Trevor K., Winkler
We split a bag with the neighbours. Tender, fresh, and none of that microwave-bag aftertaste. — Janelle D., Morden
